Pierwood Construction Company has hundreds of plans on hand for potential home owners to choose from. However, many times, our customers have a special design in mind. Pierwood takes great pride in being able to build to suit custom designs, whether from customer's plans or just brainstorming with our designers. Here is a small sample of some of our custom design work.

Residence of Nick and Starr Crawford

As a quality custom home, the Crawford's residence was designed to meet their needs and wants. Starting as a combination of 2 designs, the design quickly blended into a functional plan for Crawford family. With facilities in house Pierwood is able to produce unique custom homes for every family.

      Residence of The Maas Family
Home to the Maas Family, Pierwood's own Augustine plan was the starting point of this beautiful house. This plan was customized for the Maas’s with modifications to a large recreation space on the second level, and changes in the kitchen to accommodate their lifestyle. The combination of space on the lower level makes the large rooms appear to be even larger. Off the back of the house is a screen porch which is attached to a raised concrete patio.

      The Paschal Family Residence
The Paschal family is rather large so the main challenge in plan development was finding enough space for everyone. This house holds 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. Working with the Paschal's was a great experience because they had already been through the process before and knew the look they were trying to achieve. The home included a two-story great room connected to the kitchen and breakfast area. The Paschal's also added personal touches with cedar columns and a brick fireplace.

Residence of Jon and Vickie Phillips
The home of Jon and Vickie Phillips is a true custom home. The Phillips' came to Pierwood with the idea of open and airy spaciousness in the main living areas of the home. This was accomplished by raising the ceilings in the foyer, dining room, office, and living room. As an added touch, the living room was lowered and the gallery separating these rooms was finished in hardwood. The exposed beams also highlight the angled walk space. The kitchen and great room are completely open to each other and completes the overall concept of openness that Jon and Vickie were hoping to achieve.

      Residence of Gene Pong
The home of Gene Pong is a unique custom design with a contemporary theme spread throughout the plan and in its details. With a design foundation in mind, Mr. Pong came to Pierwood Construction wanting a two-story space nearly surrounded on the second level with loft areas. This custom home has massive open living areas which include the great room, dining room, kitchen, and breakfast area. The focal point is a large built-in bookcase on the loft that flanks the great room.
